World champion boxer and senator Manny Pacquiao has been chosen last year as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's official ambassador.

MOBILE Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) releases a new skin for the character Paquito designed after the world champion boxer and senator Manny Pacquiao.

Last year, Pacquiao was announced as the new ambassador for MLBB and introduced Paquito which was a nod to the 8-division world boxing champion.

Earlier this month, the official social media page of MLBB teased a new collaboration event.

The collaboration titled “Break the Fourth Wall” will only be available for the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Watch out for two events, the “Road to Mythic” and “Paquiaio’s Trial” event where players can acquire in-game loots like double BP cards, exclusive borders, emotes, and more.

Road to Mythic allows players to acquire Sandalwood Bracelets by logging in daily and completing tasks. The bracelets can be exchanged for various in-game rewards until April 15.

The Pacquiao’s Trial event will start on April 13 until April 24 where players can acquire the emote “Invincible Champion” and the Manny Pacquiao Epic Skin.

Moonton will reveal more details regarding the event soon.

The character Paquito is a fighter hero type that has become one of the potent heroes in the game and is widely used.

However, because it is a recently released hero, fast cooldown, and high damage output, Paquito is mostly banned in draft picks and ranked games.

Pacquiao has been featured in video games before including EA Sports’ boxing game series Fight Night.

The boxer recently announced a mobile game locally produced by Ranida Games, the studio behind PBA Basketball Slam and BAYANI-Fighting Game.

Titled Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga, the game will follow the real-life story of Pacquiao’s rise to fame as an athlete to be released this year.

In the Philippines, the number of Mobile Legends users increased during the lockdown. Currently, there are over 100 million registered users and 25 million monthly active users. (HD)
