The stage is now set for the crowning of Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2024 this coming May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Over 50 delegates sent by different accredited MUPh partners around the Philippines and abroad will fight head-to-head for the Miss Universe Philippines Crown.

The winner will succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee.

Just recently, the organization announced that multimedia star Alden Richards will host the coronation night again, while emerging band Lola Amour will be the performer.

No announcement was made yet for the panel of judges for the coronation.

Several preliminary activities were held, including the National Costume Competition, hosted by actor Marco Gumabao and Miss Universe 2022, R'Bonney Gabriel.

MUPh also welcomed reigning Miss Universe Shaynnis Palacios during her visit in the Philippines, where she will take part in some MUPh activities.

This batch of national costumes definitely made a buzz in the world of pageantry with their world-class and delicately ensembled creative and artistic Filipino craftsmanship.

This year's theme for the national costume competition is the "Philippines Flora and Fauna."

The Top 3 in Best in National Costume are Southern California's Jet Hammond, Tacloban's Tamara Ocier, and Iloilo City's Alexie Brooks.

Each of them received P100,000 in cash.

MUPh also showcases the Inaul Fashion Show. Inaul is a Maguindnaoan term for "woven." It shows a geometric design, which is considered a status symbol in Maguindanaoan culture. This is also referred to as an object of "barabangsa," or dignity.
