Millenials and students - most of whom probably know more about "komiks" on social media than in the newspapers - get a "Slice of Life" at the "Lauro 'Larry' Alcala Exhibit: Slice of Life, Wit and Humor" inside the Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.

The exhibit aims to introduce a new generation of Filipinos to cartoonist Larry Alcala (1926-2002), whose long-running "Slice of Life" cartoon series gave a humorous bent to the unique aspects of everyday Filipino life.
