“In light of the toxicity we face as a fandom towards some food delivery riders, this manong @foodpandaPH rider stood out the most.

Delivery rider Benjamin Baetiong’s life turned around because of the BTS Meal of McDonald’s.

In a Facebook post, he said, “Lakas ng BTS Meal ngayon.

A BTS fan, @therealkittenwp on Twitter, came up with an initiative to thank Baetiong by raising funds. The initiative is under the hashtag #ARMYMealProject. “In light of the toxicity we face as a fandom towards some food delivery riders, this manong @foodpandaPH rider stood out the most.

The initial target was P,7000 only, but the project was able to raise more than P45,000 already.

The donations were to be handed over to Baetiong personally.

Baetiong went to Facebook once again to thank BTS fans.

McDonald’s also expressed gratitude by sending over BTS Meals to Baetiong at home. He thanked Adi Timbol Hernandez, the PR Head of McDonald’s Philippines, Baler branch brand manager Aileen Jimenez-Peñaverde, and their crew who gave him the delivery. (EFO)
