CALOOCAN City posted another record-high attendance for its mass wedding – 1,168 pairs exchanging vows during its 62nd Cityhood Anniversary from last year’s 760 couples.
The mass wedding was officiated by Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan at the city’s Sports Complex.
In his speech, Malapitan congratulated the newlyweds and reminded them of the commitment stipulated under the contract even as he took the emphasis on the newlyweds to ensure a ‘buffer stock’ of love, trust, and respect towards each other if only to ensure a lasting relationship.
Meanwhile, Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian administered the wedding of 163 couples – 70 couples from District One and 93 pairs from District Two – as part of their 26th Charter Day Celebration.
Each pair was also given a small token – free hotel accommodations and gift certificates
