Authorities responding to a road accident in Tabuk City, Kalinga found even more illicit cargo inside a motorcycle Sunday, June 23.
A report by the Tabuk City Police said the discovery was made after a speeding motorcycle collided with a car's door at Nasquedan, Barangay Appas Sunday afternoon.
The impact caused the motorcycle to veer off the road and fall approximately 10 meters from the car.
The car driver promptly called for police assistance.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers found that the motorcycle rider had fled towards Dagupan Sentro, abandoning his vehicle.
During a search of the motorcycle, police discovered 25 bricks and three tubular forms of marijuana concealed inside a carton box.
The seized contraband was estimated to be valued at P3,624,000.
Authorities have launched an operation to apprehend the suspect involved in transporting the illegal drugs.
