Bagong oportunidad para sa lahat ang hatid ng itatayong Agro-Industrial Park - Information Technology Park (AIP-ITP) sa University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
Maliban kasi sa mga mag-aaral ay layunin din ng naturang park na tulungan ang mga industriya ng agriculture, industrial at information technology sa bansa tungo sa mas maunlad nitong pag-usbong.
Ayon sa UPLB, magsisilbi ang AIP-ITP bilang hakbang upang maitaguyod ang pinaigting na academe-industry partnership sa mga karatig na komunidad.
“It will provide a venue for commercialization of UPLB technologies. AIP-ITP will serve as a training ground for university students, making them industry ready upon graduation,” pahayag ng unibersidad.
Dagdag pa nila, tiyak na magdadala ito ng oportunidad tulad ng negosyo and employment para sa mga investor dahil sa alok nilang access sa mga mag-aaral.
Hindi lang kasi UPLB ang inaasahang lalahok dito kundi maging ang ibang mga unibersidad sa lugar.
Nakatakdang ipatayo ang AIP-ITP sa special economic zone (SEZ) ng UPLB kung saan kabilang sa mga bubuksan dito ay mga research facility, start-up at business incubators.
Plano rin ng kanilang pamunuan na lagyan ito ng commercial area and green open parks, basic systems at support facilities na kailangan para sa isang SEZ.
“As an interaction hub of both research and industrial projects, it will bring the latest breakthroughs and UPLB's expertise within reach of investors and business partners, leading to the creation of updated and relevant initiatives that will contribute to the growth of the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors, promote the adoption of technology, stimulate innovation, and accelerate human capital development,” anila.
