Starting this month, Makati is extending its Christmas festivities beyond the iconic Ayala Avenue, decorating streets from South Avenue to Circuit Makati with vibrant parols and holiday lights.

“We’re lighting up not only Makati’s central business district but stretching all the way to Circuit,” said Chrissy Roa, Head of Ayala Land Estates and Corporate Brand Marketing, at a recent press conference.

Roa outlined an exciting lineup of holiday features for residents and visitors to enjoy:

  • Makati Streets Light Up

The 1.9-kilometer stretch of Ayala Avenue will glow with trees decorated in Kapampangan parol-inspired patterns, stars, and capiz-adorned lights, adding a distinctly Filipino touch to classic holiday decor.

  • Elevated Concert at the Park

Ayala Triangle Gardens will host daily concerts with various acts from buskers to orchestras.

Weekday performers include TetViolin, Rose Ko, and The Accordionist, with live caricature artist Random Smiles creating Christmas-themed portraits.

On weekends, well-known acts will take the stage, including Bituin Escalante, the UST Singers, Gian Magdangal, and the Acapellagos, as well as performances by Ballet Manila and Steps Dance Project.

  • Simbang Gabi

Ayala Triangle Gardens will hold nightly Simbang Gabi masses from December 15 to 23, offering a festive yet spiritual start to the holiday season.

· French Wines and Goods

Francophiles can enjoy two French-themed events.

The French Beaujolais festival on November 16-17, in partnership with the French Embassy, will showcase wines from the Beaujolais region alongside culinary delights.

The French Christmas Market returns from December 14-15 and December 21-22, featuring authentic French delicacies and gifts.

  • Paseo de Roxas Market

This weekend, November 9-10, marks the start of a series of holiday markets and fairs, kicking off with "A Spectrum Holiday" where shoppers can find food, fashion, cosmetics, pet essentials, and more.

  • Cycling Event: Sleigh the Streets

On December 7-8, cycling enthusiasts can join "Sleigh the Streets," a fitness ride around Makati, in partnership with the cycling community.

  • Ayala Avenue New Year Countdown

Makati’s iconic New Year’s Eve countdown will span Ayala Avenue, featuring a massive stage and performances by some of the biggest names in Pinoy music, including the “King of Pinoy Hip-Hop,” “Rock Royalty,” and “The Nation’s Girl Group.”

These festivities promise to make Makati a lively destination this holiday season, uniting the community and celebrating the season in grand style.
