Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II (left) confronts three LTO employees who were caught stealing license plates from the agency’s Plate Making Plant in Quezon City at a press conference Friday, January 26.

Mendoza also expressed gratitude to Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, Jr. (right) for his quick action when the LTO sought police assistance after learning of the modus of the three erring LTO employees. The LTO is now conducting a probe into the possibility that a criminal syndicate was behind the pilferage of license plates.
