Children dressed like characters in a movie or play-- girls in gowns and boys in barongs-- walked to the parish on the last Sunday of May, which is also the last day of Flores de Mayo (or the month of flowers) where they join a procession of statues of Mama Mary.
Also known as sagala, Flores de Mayo is one of those traditions taught us by the Spanish conquerors which still persists even in this technological age.
