Flights were cancelled on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, due to bad weather caused by Tropical Storm “Kristine.”
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has cancelled PR2932/PR2933 Manila-Basco-Manila, PR2688/PR2689 Clark-Basco-Manila, PR2921/PR2922 Manila-DRP-Manila, PR2927/PR2928 Cebu-DRP-Cebu, PR2923/PR2924 Manila-DRP-Manila, PR2919/PR2920 Manila-DRP-Manila.
Also, its international flights PR2196/PR2197 Manila-Lao-Manila and PR2198/PR2199 Manila-Lao-Manila were also scrapped.
Cebgo has also cancelled the following flights: DG6113/DG6114 Manila-Naga-Manila, DG6117/DG6118 Manila-Naga-Manila, DG6177/DG6178 Manila-Masbate-Manila, DG6193/DG6194 Manila-DRP-Manila, DG6195/DG6196 Manila-DRP-Manila, DG6197/DG6198 Manila-DRP-Manila.
Cebu Pacific, on the other hand, has cancelled the following flights: 5J196/5J197 Manila-Cauayan-Manila, 5J504/5J505 Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila, 5J506/J507 Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila, 5J821/5J822 Manila-Virac-Manila, 5J323/5J24 Manila-DRP-Manila, 5J321/5J322 Manila-DRP-Manila, 5J325/5J326 Manila-DRP-Manila, 5J172/5J173 Cebu-DRP-Cebu.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said that although Bicol International Airport remains operational, employees from both Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have been unable to get to work due to impassable roads leading to the airport.
CAAP added that air assets for relief and rescue operation could be accommodated.
All commercial flights to and from Masbate Aiport are also cancelled in advance.
