After three long years of not being seen in the public eye, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino finally made her presence felt in person in yet a crowded place like the Power Mac Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Makati City.
The occasion was the awarding rites of the People Asia People of the Year held Tuesday night.
Kris came in with her son Bimby to attend one of her best friends’ fashion designer Michael Leyva who received an award from the Stargate People Asia event.
According to Kris, she couldn’t resist coming to one of the most significant awards of her friend.
In an interview, Aquino said that Michael has remained a true, loyal friend.
“There are people who would say ‘I’ll be there for you,’ or ‘Maaasahan mo ako (You can count on me’). but Michael has proven so many times, and in so many ways,” Kris quipped in her smiling approval of Leyva’s presence in her life.
Even if the actress was feeling dizzy (which was how she replied to GMA Network reporter Aubrey Carampel when asked about her health condition), the controversial Aquino scion was proud of her support to the iconic fashion designer.
Kris returned to the Philippines last year after a rigorous treatment of her autoimmune diseases which she is continuously being medically taken care of by medical professionals in the country.
The TV host-actress came in her yellow blouse, red top and long skirt of floral prints.
