A Twilight reunion? Kirsten Stewart has responded to the online clamor for her to play the iconic villain against her Twilight co-actor, Robert Pattinson.
WHEN Twitter verse asked the question, “Who would you cast as The Joker in Robert Pattinson’s Batman?” the resounding answer was the one and only Kirsten Stewart.
The last franchise where the ex-couple worked together was the Twilight Saga where Stewart played the timid Bella Swan to the vampiric Edward Cullen.
In a recent podcast by Variety, Stewart replied, “Let's figure something else out. You know what I mean? I'm totally down to play, like, a freaky, scary person."
However, the actress says that the role has already “been done so well” and that she’s open to other ideas instead; “Let’s do something new.”
While this effectively turns down the fans online, many others seem to agree that Stewart deserves more than a ‘role defined by men’.
Since Twilight, the actress has starred in other top-bill projects such as Snow White and the Huntsman, the 2019 Charlie’s Angels, and the widely anticipated Princess Diana biopic, Spencer.
As for ‘something new’, DC Comics has a wide array of villains that have yet to be adapted into the big screen.
If everything goes well and Warner Bros. listens to the internet, fans might just see a reunion between the two Twilight actors.
