Santa Ana, Pampanga and its people must be emphatic about the honors that their kababayan, award-winning actor Allen Dizon, has just received and brought home recently from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Allen, his personal manager Dennis Evangelista, director Louie Ignacio and people from BG Film Productions were in Dubai to attend the screening of the film entry "AbeNida" at the 11th Emirates Film Festival.
The team wasn't expecting any plums to take home during the awarding rites when the film was selected for competition but still, they were hopeful the public would love the movie which stars Dizon and Katrina Halili.
Allen romped away with the Best Actor award while Katrina took home the bacon as Best Supporting Actress.
Meanwhile, the Philippine entry (which is about a wood carver who suffers a lot after his wife left him but gains other love when he meets a woman who looks like his wife he calls her the same name) won the highest accolade as the Best International Feature Film.
The Kapampangan actor said he is proud of his new film directed by Ignacio.
