Jukebox Queen of the Philippines Imelda Papin was recently appointed by Malacanang as Board of Director of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Papin, an acknowledged musical artist in the local Tin Pan Alley, film, television and record producer has also been active in politics even if she isn't in the elective position.

Imelda was one of the staunchest supporters of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in the 2022 presidential election while she had a gubernatorial bid in Camarines Sur.

Even if she lost in the provincial poll battle, La Papin didn't stop helping BBM in his political activities, mindless of criticisms that she is a Marcos loyalist.

As a former vice-governor of Camarines Sur, Imelda has the legislative and administrative backgrounds to support her managerial position in a government office.

Mel will assume her PCSO post in the earliest possible time.
