Primetime Superstar Judy Ann Santos has again proven Filipino talents are world-class.
And she has her family to define a more relevant achievement that can speak of the significant role of a mom, brother, sister, husband, children and other kin to her success as an actress.
Judy Ann's mother Karol, bro Jeffrey, sis Jacqueline, hubby Ryan Agoncillo, kids Johanna Louise, Juan Luis and Juana Luisa and all her relatives are collectively her inspiration to succeed in her life and career.
Locations of her beloved members of the family are also determinants in her setting goals and attaining objectives in her craft.
Ryan, who is a native of Taal, Batangas, has been continually inspiring her to be the best personally and professionally.
Taal as a historic and an exquisite town has also been a breath of fresh air to an actress like Judy Ann who struggles in the hustle and bustle of the city so just imagining the idyllic Taal can cool her head.
She always thinks of Agoncillo's legacy as a moral booster in her acting career aside from the symbiotic relationship between them.
That is why when she unexpectedly won Best Actress at the 45th Fantasporto International Film Festival in Portugal recently for Quantum Films' "Espantaho," Juday thanked her husband and kids apart from her director Chito S. Rono, scriptwriter Chris Martinez and producer Atty. Joji Villanueva Alonso for achieving good film acting.
When her name was called as Best Actress in the Fantasy category of the fest, Juday was startled.
After a few moments, she composed herself, stood up, reciprocally kissed Ryan and went up the stage.
Santos has collected a number of awards from the following awards-giving bodies aside from Fantasporto, Cairo International Film Festival, Cinemalaya, Gawad Urian, Famas, Luna, Metro Manila Film Festival and Star Awards for Movies of the Philippine Movie Press Club in her respective film.
