What do the late veteran actress Charito Solis and the iconic trio Tiongco Brothers from Santa Rosa, Laguna--share in common? They are musically and artistically inclined friends with each other while one of them, particularly Emil Tiongco, is married to Charito's sister.
Yoly Solis is Emil's wife.
Yoly and Emil have a daughter named Jeannie Solis Tiongco.
Jeannie has inherited the artistic genes of her parents as she has also embarked on singing.
The lady Tiongco is a jazz singer and making waves as a performer. Jeannie is quite busy in her music at night but she sees to it that at daytime she oversees (well, as one of the overseers from the Solises and the Tiongcos) well the Solis estate and the Tiongco properties.
She now stays in the house of the late actress Charito in Posadas Village—very near the Sucat Expressway Interchange and the Laguna Lake—in Paranaque City.
She also pays Santa Rosa a visit if she has the luxury of time.
Not only is Jeannie performing in Manila aa she has also been singing in key cities all over the country.
This November, Jeannie with another iconic keyboardist and pianist, Henry Katindig and jazz guitarist Rey Ynfante will perform at the music lounge of the Iloilo Gateway Hotel and Suites in Iloilo City.
This was announced by the hotel's General Manager Aristeo Demavivas. Yes, you read it right, Aristeo Demavivas, the singer and balladeer, who else?
"I am happy that from Manila, from Paranaque City and from Santa Rosa City in Laguna, Jeannie flies to Iloilo City to regale her fans, especially jazz enthusiasts with her kind of music.
"Not only that, the music wizard, Henry Katindig, a son of the iconic jazz pianist Eddie Katindig and the expert jazz guitarist Rey Ynfante are joining her," beamed Aris.
