Ivy Lacsina will suit up for the F2 Logistics in the PVL after foregoing her final year in the UAAP, while setter Kamille Cal is now a Lady Maroon.

National University will have to defend their title in UAAP Season 85 without Ivy Lacsina as she decided to finish her collegiate career early to join the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers ahead of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference in October.

The Cargo Movers announced the signing of the middle blocker on Friday as part of their offseason moves before returning in action after skipping the recently- concluded Invitational Conference.

Lacsina only played three years for the Lady Bulldogs as she recorded 130 points (14th in the league) on 19 blocks (9th) and 13 aces (7th) in her final season in the UAAPto end the elimination round.

National University head coach Karl Dimaculangan admitted that the news came as a surprise to the team as the 22-year-old has reportedly signed with F2 in the middle of their practice for AVC Cup.

“We are just surprised that she didn’t inform us right away kasi under negotiation pa kami and magkasama kami nun nag training for AVC. Pero ayun all this time pala is nakapirma na siya,” said Dimaculangan in a message to Inquirer Sports.

Over at F2, Lacsina will join former La Salle stars Aby Maraño, Kim Dy, Majoy Baron, Kim Fajardo, and Dawn Macandili and will be coached by multi-titled mentor Ramil de Jesus.

Aside from Lacsina, setter Kamille Cal has also left the NU Lady Bulldogs as she has officially enrolled at University of the Philippines early this week, to play for the Lady Maroons.

Cal will join the young squad of UP, joining the promising S84 rookie Alyssa Bertolano, and will be handled by the newly- appointed coach Shaq delos Santos.

Due to the transfer, Cal will have to sit out Season 85 and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
