The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau conducted monitoring and enforcement of technical regulations at fireworks and firecracker stores in Bocaue, Bulacan on Thursday, December 2.
During the operation, authorities inspected multiple stores to verify their permits and certifications, as well as to ensure that the products being sold met safety standards for the protection of consumers. Bocaue, Bulacan, which has been called the “Firecrackers Capital” of the Philippines due to its thriving pyrotechnics industry, hopes to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that has caused the suspension of many New Year activities during the past three years.
