Senator and presidential sister Imee Marcos calls on law enforcement agencies to investigate and solve the numerous disappearances of women and young ladies to ensure public safety.

Presidential sister, Senator Imee Marcos called on the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the increasing number of disappearances of women and youth in recent weeks.

An Inquirer report said the latest incident involves a 15-year-old female biker from San Jose del Monte City, who was found dead in Bustos after she was reported missing on August 9. Her body had bruises, cigarette burns, and strangulation marks. The forensic autopsy report also revealed that the teenager had been raped.

“I’m requesting the PNP and NBI to immediately investigate and punish any perpetrators of the disappearance of individuals, especially the young woman who was raped and brutally killed. They should not spare anyone,” Marcos said.

She also said that law enforcement agencies like the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) should be especially alert now that on-site classes have been reopened for 28 million students.

“Because parents are worried, the authorities must stop the series of abductions and killings, especially now that their children have returned to school,” She said

The increasing news of the abduction of several women and ladies have made fellow women fearful of going out and parents are worried over their children's safety. This uneasiness and wariness will cause trouble for the people all over the country and public safety.

DILG, PNP, and the NBI must solve this case to bring back peace and order in ensuring public safety, and bring justice to those who have been victims of these disappearances.
