Bulacan was abuzz with excitement on May 26, 2024, as the Hari at Reyna Republika ng Pilipinas beauty pageant unfolded. The stars of the show? Three exceptional young talents from Iloilo City, Western Visayas. These rising stars embodied the saying, "Basta Ilonggo, Gwapo kag Gwapa" (If you’re Ilonggo, you’re handsome and beautiful). Let's meet these newly crowned winners and celebrate their incredible achievements.

Kyrus Mark Lenizo: The Shy Prince with a Heart of Gold. Kyrus Mark Lenizo, a 15-year-old from Brgy. Gines Patag, Cabatuan, Iloilo, proved that even the shyest of us can shine brightly on stage. A second-year Junior High student at Central Philippine University, Kyrus clinched the title of Teen Prinsipe Republika Pilipinas 2024 Grand Winner. But that's not all – he also won Charity King, 1st Runner Up Best in Advocacy, 2nd Runner Up Best in Formal Attire, 1st Runner Up Best in Talent, and the Social Media Award.

Kyrus, the second of three children of Mr. and Mrs. Lenizo, was a first-time pageant participant. Despite his shy nature, his confidence and charm captivated the audience, revealing a star in the making.

Izzy Queen L. Zulaybar: The Aspiring Neurosurgeon with a Passion for Pageantry. Meet Izzy Queen L. Zulaybar, another 15-year-old sensation from Jaro, Iloilo City. Standing tall at 5'7", this Grade 10 student from Central Philippine University never imagined a career in pageantry. Yet, she walked away with the title of Teen Prinsesa Republika Pilipinas 2024.

Izzy, the second child and only girl among three siblings has her sights set on becoming a neurosurgeon. She views pageantry as a hobby and a platform to spread her advocacy, encouraging teens to be confident and pursue their dreams. “I just wanted to show other teens that we are unique, and each one of us has talent to hone,” she said. Izzy also aims to give back to her parents, recognizing their sacrifices for her.

Her accolades included Best in Gown, Best in Provincial Costume, Best in Advocacy Speech, 1st Runner Up Best in Summer Wear, and 1st Runner Up Best in Talent.

Aizyll Jame Libo-on Villacasten: The Littlest Queen with the Biggest Dreams. The youngest among the winners, 9-year-old Aizyll Jame Libo-on Villacasten from Brgy. Bonifacio Tanza, Iloilo City, won the title of Munting Prinsesa Republika Pilipinas 2024 Grand Winner. A student at Rizal Elementary School, Aizyll dazzled with her grace and talent, earning awards for Best in Gown, 1st Runner Up in Talent, 2nd Runner Up in Summer Wear, Best in Formal Attire, and Best in Advocacy Speech.

Celebrating Ilonggo Pride. This victory is a testament to the incredible talent that Iloilo nurtures. Special thanks go to their dedicated manager, handler, and make-up artist, Carlito Celleros Aldaboh Jr., and Gerald Abelarde, Aizyll handler for their unwavering support and patience. The parents of these young stars also deserve a standing ovation for their continuous encouragement and sacrifices.

Looking ahead, these three shining stars will compete on an international stage this coming December, representing Iloilo and the Philippines. We couldn't be prouder of their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to shine.

Truly, Ilonggos have beauty, talent, and heart – qualities that make them exceptional and celebrated across the nation. Congratulations, Kyrus, Izzy, and Aizyll! You’ve made us all incredibly proud.
