The journey to Olympic glory is often filled with challenges, but it can also lead to a truly rewarding outcome.

Olympic Bronze medalist Aira Villegas is set to receive a house and lot from House Speaker Martin Romualdez as a token of appreciation for her outstanding achievement in the Paris Olympics 2024.

The generous gift came after Romualdez personally inquired about the prize the Tacloban boxer desired, to which Villegas replied, a house and lot.

Romnick Villegas, a brother of Aira, was moved to tears, proud of his sister’s selflessness in choosing a gift that would benefit the entire family, not just herself.

Well-Deserved Recognition

For many, the house and lot that she will receive is a well-deserved recognition of her achievements and will provide her and her family with a stable and comfortable home.

Villegas' family is overjoyed with her victory and the recognition.

They also expressed their gratitude for the generosity and kindness, and and believed that this gift will help Aira to continue to pursue her passion for boxing.

The triumphant Olympians, including Villegas, returned to the Philippines on Tuesday, August 13, and received recognitions and cash rewards.

Her victory in the Olympics is not only a personal triumph but also a source of pride for her family and the entire nation.

“Nakakalipay pamation nga usa na Waraynon in naghatag hin kalipay para han mga Filipino ngan labi na gud han mga Waraynon. Mabuhay ka, Aira ngan congratulations and more winning to come,” netizen Elsa Glaesel commented.
