The Holy Land Subic, a theme park with the Christian religion as theme, is ready for the influx of tourists, both local and foreigners, this Holy Week, March 24 to 31, 2024.
It is a pilgrimage destination for all visitors, as the Holy Land Subic Sanctuary property occupies 15 hectares of land inside the Subic Freeport. The Holy Land Subic Foundation Inc. which operates the institution said it opened the place to the public in 2012.
The Foundation said they are composed of religious and lay trustees who have responded to the call of the Lord to bring his love and healing to others through a sanctuary and biblical theme park.
The sanctuary has been developed in several phases and is now visited by many pilgrims, spiritual communities, parishes, families, tour groups from all over the Philippines and other foreign countries.
The theme park is open from 7:30 am to 6 pm from Monday to Sunday. Their most popular services include pilgrimages, retreats and weddings.
It is interesting to note that Holy Land Subic has an array of Bible-inspired places to visit, many of them Instagramable. From the entrance called Lions’ Gate of Jerusalem, Cafe Jerusalem, Heaven’s Hub and souvenir shop, to the Chapel of Cana, Pilgrims’ Plaza and Angels Fountain.
Then, there’s a list of interesting places such as Pilgrims’ Prayer Wall, Wall of Saints, Proposal Tent, The Tent Events, The Pieta, Stairway to Heaven composed of 120 steps, Via Rosario, Via Dolorosa and Lake Galilee.
