Hesed Gabo to finally play in the PBA after signing a one-year contract with NLEX Road Warriors together with Clint Doliguez.
The time has come for Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Hero Hesed Gabo to showcase his talent in the biggest basketball stage in the Philippines with the NLEX Road Warriors.
Road Warriors tactician Frankie Lim has confirmed that the Mapua University product will see action in the Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup which is set to start on January 22, after signing a one-year deal with the team, the Daily Tribune reported.
Surprisingly, the guard has only landed a team in the PBA this year after making waves in other commercial leagues, notably as the Finals Most Valuable Player of the inaugural Filbasket tournament with the AICC Manila and steered the team in the best-of-three championship series against San Juan Go-For-Gold.
Gabo has also won titles with Basilan in the VisMin Cup, BRT Sumisip-St. Clare in the PBA D-League, and named a member of the Mythical Team after playing a significant part in Nueva Ecija's championship victory in the most recent campaign of the team in the MPBL.
Aside from Hesed, Lim disclosed that the team has also acquired unrestricted free agent Clint Doliguez to join the rebuilding franchise.
In NLEX, Hesed and Doliquez will be joining Robert Bolick, Will Navarro, Arwind Santos and the newly acquired former No.1 pick Joshua Munzon for a chance of a better outing this conference.
According to Global Daily Mirror, Gabo and Doliguez had already started joining their workouts and have been gelling well with the Road Warriors.
Additionally, the Road Warriors has also been making changes in their coaching staff as they recently appointed seven-time PBA champion and former Gilas Pilipinas star Larry Fonacier as team manager, while adding Melo Lim and JB Sison, former deputies of Lim at San Beda University, to join the coaching staff.
