Rains that may result in flooding and landslides will continue to prevail over most parts of Luzon and Western Visayas due to the southwest monsoon.
RESIDENTS of Metro Manila, parts of Luzon and Western Visayas are warned of continuing rains that may result in flooding and landslides on Wednesday (July 28).
"Monsoon rains, or light to heavy rains, will be experienced over (the) Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro," said Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The same weather condition is expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Cagayan Valley, the rest of the Cordillera region, the rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, northern Palawan including Cuyo and Calamian Islands, Antique, and Aklan.
"Flooding and landslides are possible, especially in lowlands and mountainous areas," Estareja said.
Other parts of Luzon will have fair weather and localized thunderstorms.
"Other areas in the Visayas, and Mindanao will have fair weather. It will be warm and humid in the afternoon. Localized thunderstorms are also possible in these areas," he added.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas.
Over Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (ONT)
