Forget long branch queues!
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) empowers beneficiaries with their innovative mobile app, GSIS Touch.
This app bridges the gap between GSIS and its members, offering a convenient way to access services "at a click," as Branch Manager Rosenie G. Chavez of GSIS Tacloban emphasizes.
GSIS Touch is a one-stop shop for beneficiaries where users can apply for loans, stay updated with GSIS news, access personal records, locate nearby branches, and more.
Security remains a priority as transactions require a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the user's phone and their BP number for additional protection.
Recognizing that not everyone is tech-savvy, GSIS offers in-branch assistance for setting up accounts.
Additionally, lost phones won't disrupt access. Beneficiaries can simply visit a branch and change their registered number, ensuring their information remains secure.
Not So Convenient
However, several users who used the said app that it is not user friendly.
The site would crash on multiple instances on top of Android compatibility issues.
On the other hand, GSIS did not refute the said complains.
"We have heard of the issue and we are already trying to fix that. We are currently experiencing birth pains since nung May palang kami nag start pero may mga bago na kami na dinadagdag and we take note of these problems, " Chavez said.
GSIS Touch is constantly evolving.
And Chavez assured that the team is committed to ongoing improvements for a smooth user experience.
This app is more than just trendy. It's a powerful tool that serves the needs of the people.
