Gov. Tan bares plans to revitalize Quezon on World Tourism Day

Quezon Governor Dr. Helen Tan shares comprehensive plans and strategies to revitalize Quezon's Tourism industry during the celebration of World Tourism Day, Tuesday, September 27.

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Quezon Governor Dr. Helen Tan outlined the comprehensive plans, objectives, and strategies to revitalize Quezon's tourism industry during the celebration of World Tourism Day (WTD) last September 27.

With the theme "Rethinking Tourism," Tan stated that the provincial government is concentrating on considering more initiatives for safety, security, and social service advocacy for the tourism industry.

"Mahalaga na handa tayo at alam ng lahat ng ating local operators tulad ng mga hotel, restaurant, resorts at iba pa ang mga emergency procedures," the governor said.

Tan stressed the importance of patient navigation system.

"Nais nating masiguro ito dahil gusto natin na maramdaman ng lahat ng bibisita sa ating probinsya na sila ay ligtas at secured habang dinaranas nila ang ganda ng tanawin at kultura sa Quezon," Tan added.

World Tourism Day (WTD) is celebrated annually on September 27. The event marked LGU’s significant role in promoting tourism in the region and country.

The governor awarded Biyaheng Quezon 2022: Tara Na TO-Quezon, Tuklasin ang Ganda, Lasapin ang Linamnam, and 2021 Destination of the Year Awards.

Tan also congratulated all the winners of the vlogging contest.

"Patuloy nating itampok ang mga destinasyon sa ating probinsya, nawa ay kasabay din nating ipromote ang magiliw na pagtanggap at masayang kaugalian ng mga Quezonian," she said.
