GMA Network, Inc. enters a new era of leadership in the coming year as Atty. Felipe L. Gozon steps down as chairman and CEO. Thus, effective January 1, 2024, GMA Network President and Chief Operating Officer, Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., will take over as GMA Network CEO.
However, Atty. Gozon will remain the Chairman of the Board and the network’s corporate adviser.
On the other hand, Joel Marcelo G. Jimenez will take a seat as Chairman of GMA Network’s Executive Committee, also effective in the coming year.
The announcement was made during the 84th birthday celebration of Atty. Gozon was held at the Isla Ballroom of the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.
In 1999, Gilberto Duavit Jr. became part of the Board of Directors. 2000, when he chaired the Networks Executive Committee and was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He held the presidency in 2010.
