Gina Pareño reveals in a vlog with Ogie Diaz that she is a member of the LGBTQ community and had loved a fellow actress until she passed away.
Gina Pareño talked about a loved one in a vlog she was featured in last Monday where she revealed that she is a part of the LGBTQ community.
The 75-year-old actress appeared on Ogie Diaz’ latest vlog where she talked about her life and career when the host mentioned noticing an urn that she had been bringing with her.
“Kaya mo bang aminin na miyembro ka ng LGBTQ?” Diaz asked Pareño.
The actress then answered while laughing, “Oo, bakit, problema? Saka nagmamahal ako nang tapat”.
The two then talked about the late actress Nenita Vidal who Pareño referred to as “Doktora Bong,” an actress in the 1950s who is the owner of the remains that Pareño had been carrying.
Pareño shared that they met in showbiz after Vidal had seen her projects and loved her acting which led the two becoming close.
She went on to talk about her love for the late actress and considers her as her “lucky charm” as according to her, Vidal had helped her a lot in getting through her drug addiction years ago.
“Nasa kuwarto ko pa rin ‘yung urn niya… Ang dami kong utang na loob doon, saka mabait sa akin. Tinuturuan ako, ine-educate niya ako,” she said, in tears.
“Tinuruan niya ako kung paano kumilos, lahat. Ibinigay niya sa akin ‘yung naiwan niyang bahay. Saka alam kong mahal na mahal ako no’n,” Pareño added.
Diaz then replied:
“Sinabi mo nga sa akin noon, ‘Nako, Ogie mawala nang lahat ito sa’kin mabalik lang sakin si Doktora Bong.”
But when asked if she is willing to find love again, the actress jokingly answered that she is done with it, “wala na, pack up na ako diyan” as she now feels complete with her children Michael and Racquel, who had been taking care of her at home.
