Resident Evil 6 (2012)
On December 24, 2012, chaos erupts in the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia as a devastating bioterrorist attack sweeps through the region. Amid the destruction, Jake Muller—an elusive mercenary and the son of the infamous bio-terrorist Albert Wesker—finds himself on the run from local authorities. Hardened by a life of survival and detachment, Jake initially seems concerned only with his own escape. However, his path soon intersects with Sherry Birkin, a Division of Security Operations (DSO) agent and one of the few survivors of the Raccoon City disaster.
Sherry approaches Jake with a mission of critical importance: he carries unique antibodies in his blood that may be the key to developing a vaccine against the newly emerged and highly dangerous C-virus. Though reluctant at first, Jake agrees to cooperate—motivated more by financial gain than altruism. Together, they attempt to flee Edonia, but their journey quickly turns into a relentless struggle for survival. They are pursued by Ustanak, a massive and nearly indestructible bio-organic weapon designed specifically to capture Jake alive. The creature’s terrifying persistence forces the pair into constant motion, forging a tense but growing partnership between them.
At the same time, a Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) strike team, led by veteran operative Chris Redfield and his trusted partner Piers Nivans, is deployed to Edonia with orders to contain the outbreak and eliminate infected hostiles. The situation escalates when a mysterious figure claiming to be Ada Wong appears. In a shocking turn of events, this imposter unleashes a devastating attack on Chris’s team, using a device that infects them with the C-virus, transforming them into monstrous creatures. The massacre leaves only Chris and Piers alive. Traumatized by the loss of his squad and unable to cope with the psychological toll, Chris descends into despair, eventually disappearing into self-imposed exile while suffering from post-traumatic amnesia.
Meanwhile, Jake and Sherry’s attempted extraction by the BSAA goes disastrously wrong when their aircraft is sabotaged. The resulting crash leaves them stranded in the freezing mountains, where they are soon captured by the false Ada. They are held in captivity for six long months, subjected to unknown experiments while the world continues to spiral deeper into bioterror chaos.
The timeline shifts to June 29, 2013. In the United States, President Adam Benford prepares to make a historic public announcement revealing the truth behind the Raccoon City incident and the government’s hidden ties to the Umbrella Corporation. His goal is to bring transparency and prevent further bio-terror incidents. However, before he can deliver his speech, the university town of Tall Oaks becomes the epicenter of another outbreak. The President himself is infected.
Leon S. Kennedy, a DSO agent and another survivor of Raccoon City, is present at the scene alongside Secret Service agent Helena Harper. Faced with an unthinkable decision, Leon is forced to kill the infected President to prevent further casualties. As they attempt to escape the city, Leon and Helena encounter the real Ada Wong, who warns them of a deeper conspiracy. Leon soon uncovers that National Security Advisor Derek Simmons is connected to Neo-Umbrella and played a key role in orchestrating the outbreak.
Determined to uncover the truth, Leon and Helena fake their deaths and pursue Simmons to Lanshiang, China—a sprawling metropolis now on the brink of collapse due to another C-virus outbreak. Coincidentally, this is also where Jake and Sherry manage to escape from their long captivity.
Chris eventually resurfaces in Lanshiang, having been found and brought back into service by Piers. Though his memory is initially fragmented, Chris returns to duty with a new BSAA squad. However, his obsession with tracking down the woman posing as Ada leads him to act recklessly, resulting in heavy casualties among his team. His relentless pursuit ultimately brings him face-to-face with Leon, who reveals the truth: the Ada Chris has been chasing is an imposter.
With this revelation, Chris regains clarity and refocuses on the mission. He and Piers track the imposter to an aircraft carrier, where they discover a plan to launch cruise missiles loaded with the C-virus. In a high-stakes operation, they manage to destroy the missiles, preventing a global catastrophe.
Meanwhile, Leon, Helena, Jake, and Sherry converge to confront Derek Simmons. During this tense encounter, Sherry discreetly passes Jake’s medical data to Leon, ensuring that his unique immunity can still be used to create a vaccine if they are captured again. Simmons, already infected and mutating, reveals his motivations—he orchestrated the President’s assassination in a twisted attempt to preserve national security and control. His transformation into a grotesque creature leads to a brutal battle, ultimately ending in his defeat at the hands of Leon and Helena.
With Ada’s unexpected assistance, Leon and Helena confront Simmons once more as he undergoes further mutations, finally putting an end to him for good. Meanwhile, Chris and Piers infiltrate an underwater research facility beneath the oil platform. There, they rescue Jake and Sherry, only to face a new threat: Haos, an enormous and highly advanced bio-weapon capable of triggering a global pandemic.
The battle against Haos proves overwhelming. In a desperate act, Piers injects himself with the C-virus, gaining immense power at the cost of his humanity. Using his newfound abilities, he helps Chris defeat the creature. However, fully aware that he will soon lose control, Piers makes the ultimate sacrifice. He forces Chris into an escape pod and remains behind, using his mutated form to destroy the facility and prevent further انتشار of the virus.
Jake and Sherry manage to escape as well, finally confronting and defeating Ustanak during their ascent to the surface on a rocket-powered lift, ending the relentless pursuit that had haunted them for months.
The truth behind the imposter Ada is finally revealed. She is Carla Radames, a brilliant scientist who was forcibly transformed into a clone of Ada Wong by Derek Simmons. Driven by resentment and madness, Carla attempts one final act of vengeance by injecting herself with a powerful dose of the C-virus. Despite her monstrous transformation, she is ultimately defeated and killed.
In the aftermath, Ada destroys the lab responsible for Carla’s creation, ensuring that such experiments cannot continue. She then disappears once more, taking on a new mission.
As the dust settles, the survivors begin to move forward. Leon and Helena are cleared of all charges and return to duty. Chris, having confronted his guilt and loss, remains with the BSAA, now leading a new team with renewed purpose. Sherry continues her work as a DSO agent, dedicated to preventing future outbreaks. Jake, choosing a different path, disappears into the shadows, dedicating himself to fighting bioterrorism in developing regions—his identity kept secret by the BSAA.
