On Tuesday (August 23) oil companies said they would again be raising their pump prices, after seven successive weeks of rollbacks.
After seven successive weeks of price rollbacks throughout the country, oil firms are expected to implement a price increase for petroleum products on Tuesday, August 23.
The price of gasoline will climb to ₱0.70 per liter, diesel by ₱2.60, and kerosene by ₱2.80, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said in a GMA news report.
The same modifications will be made by Cleanfuel, but not for kerosene, which it does not carry.
Motorists paid less this week as per-liter prices of gasoline went down by ₱0.10, diesel by ₱1.05, and kerosene by ₱0.45 since Aug. 16.
The Department of Energy estimates the net price increases since the start of the year of P17.45 per liter for gasoline, P29.10 for diesel and P24.30 for kerosene as ofAugust 16, 2022.
