Seventeen former members of Communist-Terrorist Groups (CTGs) received aid that will help them return as law-abiding citizens, through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) last June 26 in Laguna.

These include cash assistance worth P65,000, two sacks of rice and a certificate of eligibility from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to help them get jobs.

In the testimony of a beneficiary, the former rebel said that the government has been a big help in helping him return as a lawful citizen in society and will make sure that the aid given will be put to good use.

BGen. Cerilo Balaoro Jr., commander of the 202nd Infantry Unifire Brigade of the Philippine Army, encouraged members of CTGs to return as lawful citizens and end up like their former rebel members.

The beneficiaries were chosen by the Provincial Government of Laguna led by Governor Ramil Hernandez and members of the E-CLIP Committee of the Laguna Peace and Order Council and the PTF-ELCAC.
