Catriona Gray thinks Miss U candidates could have handled more difficult questions

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray expressed her thoughts about the recently concluded Miss U pageant as she believes that the candidates could have been given more difficult questions for the question and answer portion.

Although Gray was not able to attend the event, she made sure to watch and show her support to the candidates while sharing her thoughts on her Twitter account.

"I wish the girls were given more difficult questions," Catriona shared in a tweet. "Feeling ko kayang-kaya nila. Anyhow who is your MUP2022? Exciting! #MissUniversePhilippines2022"

A taped video was also shown for Gray’s “special participation,” which the pageant organization earlier teased about and aired during the broadcast of the event.

Netizens seem to agree with Gray as several people tweeted back at her with their own sentiments as they were apparently hoping to hear current events questions or anything in relation to things happening in the country.

“Exactly! I mean, nothing against the organization since it’s how and what they [probably] plan. But it could’ve been very exciting to see how they answer tough questions,” @Yanskiee23 tweeted.
“In addition, we’re talking about [the] Miss Universe title at the end of the day. [Barangay] competitions supply more difficult questions than what they’ve given to the girls during the finals. Just [saying]”, they added.

Celeste Cortesi of Pasay ended up winning the crown at the Mall of Asia Arena after her impressive run during the pageant and her touching answer when she was asked about how she would spend time if she has the ability to stop it, to which she answered spending it with her family in Italy, particularly her mother.

On the other hand, Michelle Dee of Makati was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism while Pauline Amelinckz from Bohol received the Miss Universe Philippines-Charity crown.

Annabelle MacDonnell from Misamis Oriental placed first runner-up while Katrina Llegado from Taguig was proclaimed second runner-up.
