The protest art based on Tarantadong Pinoy's satirical cartoon was first made available for sale on July 26, to coincide with Duterte’s sixth and final State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The ongoing online campaign sparked by a simple art by satirical cartoonist Tarantadong Kalbo will now be available as a resin toy by custom figure artist Gino Roberto.

The original art, titled Tumindig, showed one raised fist among a sea of “fist people” bowing down is meant to depict the fist bump gesture used by President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies and the fist raised by activists.

Several artists shared their own rendition of the artwork, adding their own fist people to the drawing until the whole art was free of the bowing fists and filled with “dissenters” less than three days after.

On July 26, to coincide with Duterte’s sixth and final State of the Nation Address (SONA), Gino Roberto announced the Tumindig art toy and opened up pre-orders.

The 3-inch toy will be fully a limited edition, hand-crafted, made from resin material. It follows Tarantadong Kalbo’s original all-white fist design, with the same angry expression.

The artist is known for customizing Funko Pop! figures including creating Trese, Catriona Gray, and himself as Pop! figures.

You can pre-order now through the Gino Roberto Custom Figures Facebook page for P1,500 with a required P500 downpayment. Part of the proceeds will go to the Philippine Animation Workers Association.

The toy is expected to arrive by September.
