In yet another incident that may cement Ninoy Aquino International Airport's already unfavorable reputation, several vehicles parked inside the airport complex caught fire Monday, April 22.
The fire started inside the extension parking of NAIA Terminal 3 at 1:20 p.m. and was finally declared fire out at around 1:50 p.m.
An initial and unofficial report said that 19 vehicles were damaged in the incident.
According to Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the owners of the damaged vehicles have not yet been identified as investigation is still ongoing.
Fire personnel who responded to the area allegedly said the incident was caused by a grass fire.
The MIAA Rescue and Firefighting Division is currently conducting an investigation into the extent of damage and the cause of the fire in the area.
