For how long would Francis Jesland bear the brunt of now Sen. Raffy Tulfo calling him “Fake Director” after a bunch of upstarts dragged him to the complaint desk of the broadcaster?
Francis, Jesland Abdulraman Amper in real life, Vice Chairman of Polaris Artists Center, had vindicated himself against his complainants in Tulfo’s TV show.
“Gusto ko nga at pinagpipilitan kong imbitahin si Senator Tulfo para manood ng pelikula ko para mapatunayan niyang hindi ako (I just want and insist to invite him to watch the screening of my film to prove to him again that I am not) fake director,” said Francis.
Abdulraman Amper who uses Francis Jesland as screen name will have a premiere night of his film “Lockdown” on April 29, 2023 Saturday at the Terraces Cinema in Fairview.
Although Jesland admitted the cast of the movie are all new actors, he is confident enough he is able to make a sensible story and presentation about a family affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Nang kaladkarin ako ng mga artista ko noon at akusahan akong estafador, gumuho ang daigdig ko kaya nang mapatunayan na wala akong kasalanan, ang unang gusto kong manood ng pelikula ko ay si (When I was accused of estafa of my actors, my world collapsed so when I was cleared of the case, the first who must see my film is) Senator Tulfo,” he insisted.
According to Jesland, it was William Mayo, a director and President of the Kapisanan ng mga Direktor ng Pelikulang Pilipino (KDPP) who cleared his name and pulled him from the mess.
