With the opening of the new school year last Monday, June 16, Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa City brought more than magic and fanfare to public school students in this city.

EK officials led by President and CEO Mario Mamon officially turned over two refurbished and improved classrooms at the Caingin Elementary School in this city.

The two classrooms feature enhanced lighting, ventilation, and learning-friendly environment, equipped with wide screen television and speaker, aimed at improving student performance and comfort for Kindergarten students.

Aside from this, EK also gave out learning materials including notebooks, pencils, papers and activity kits to students.

According to Mamon, this is EK’s 11th participation in the annual Brigada Eskwela program of the Department of Education (DepEd).

The refurbishment of classrooms is part of activities slated for the theme park's 30th anniversary this year.

Mamon added that EK continues to set their sights not only to be known for world-class attractions, but also for their corporate social responsibility efforts and commitment to support education and youth development in the city.

DepEd Santa Rosa Schools Division Superintendent Hereberto Jose Miranda expressed gratitude to their private partners, most notably Enchanted Kingdom, for the continued support to the education sector.
