BATANGAS City -- In line with the campaign against illegal drugs led by the Police Regional Office Calabarzon under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, and the Batangas Police Provincial Office spearheaded by provincial director Police Colonel Samson Belmonte, the provincial police operatives conducted a week-long anti-drug operations that resulted into 54 successful arrests.
The week-long anti-drug ops was put into motion from February 11 to February 17, 2024, wherein the Batangas PPO launched 46 operations that led to the arrest of 54 individuals.
Law enforcement agents confiscated 83.14 grams of shabu and 40 grams of marijuana, valued at P570,152.00.
Some of the significant apprehensions were made by the Lipa City Police Station.
Alias "Teng" was arrested on February 16, 2024, with 29.60 grams of shabu worth P201,280.00 seized from him.
Meanwhile, on February 17, 2024, Lipa police also apprehended three suspects known as Alias Ute, Alias Jielyn, and Alias Borix, with 15.29 grams of shabu valued at P103,972.00 confiscated from them.
"We must collaborate for a peaceful future for our loved ones. Let us fight the scourge of drugs that destroys the lives of our fellow citizens," Belmonte said.
