Ariel Valencia, the newly-installed regional director of the Department of Health (DOH) - Calabarzon, guaranteed that they are prepared to vaccinate more than one million people every day on National Vaccination Day.

The government hopes to pick up the pace of the Covid-19 three-day "Bayanihan Bakunahan" national vaccination days, which will be held from November 29 to December 1.

Ariel Valencia, the newly-installed regional director of the Department of Health (DOH) - Calabarzon, guaranteed that they are prepared to vaccinate more than one million people every day on National Vaccination Day.

Valencia said that the region’s vaccination teams are prepared and will concentrate their efforts in parts of the area with low vaccine coverage.

“Together with the local government units, our target is to vaccinate one million [individuals] a day. We have a total of 174 vaccination teams strategically located in various provinces where people can get their vaccine,” Valencia, who replaced Dr. Eduardo Janairo as the head of the DOH Calabarzon office last November 22, said.

Valencia also urged the public not to be "choosy" with Covid-19 vaccine brands as all brands currently used in the vaccination program have been proven safe.

Sinovac, Moderna, Gamaleya Sputnik V, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca are among the vaccines currently deployed by the government and private sector in the Covid-19 vaccination program.

“Huwag na po tayong mamili pa ng brand ng vaccine dahil lahat ng ito ay ligtas gamitin. These vaccines will protect you and your family and I encourage you to proceed to your nearest vaccination centers during the 3-day vaccination day and get vaccinated,” Valencia added.
