Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) officer-in-charge Hans Leo Cacdac personally leads the closure of Legalconnect Travel Consultancy Services at Barangay Veterans Village in Quezon City Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

According to the DMW, the travel agency was also found to be allegedly recruiting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) without a proper license. With the full resumption of overseas travel last year after the Covid-19 pandemic, authorities including the DMW and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) have also intensified efforts to prevent incidents of human trafficking.
