(From left) Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines Annika Thumburg, Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin "Behnur" Abalos, Jr., and Diabetes Philippines President Dr. Francis Pasaporte sign the Memorandum Of Understanding that sealed the turnover of machines and tools under the ActNow Chronic Kidney Disease program at a hotel in Mandaluyong City Tuesday, December 19.

During the event, the DILG also inked a partnership with pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca and 12 provincial governments as part of efforts to combat chronic kidney disease in the Philippines.
