The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted a dialogue for the "Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan" (BIDA) Program in Calamba City, Laguna on Tuesday, July 23.

The program aims to have an open dialogue on the cause and effect of drugs and on how to intensify drug intervention programs.

The event was joined by DILG Assistant Secretary for Communications and External Affairs Rolando Puno, DILG Regional Director Ariel Iglesia, DILG Regional Assistant Director Darell DIzon, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Director Bryan Babang, and Calamba Mayor Roseller Rizal.

In his message, Asec. Puno emphasized that this program is not only a local initiative but a national priority under the administration of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr.

Meanwhile, Mayor Rizal boasts that 24 barangays in the city were already drug-cleared while anti-drug campaigns continue in the rest of the barangays.

The BIDA program is the national campaign of DILG in partnership with local government units to eradicate drugs in society.
