Days before the rallies, certified Duterte supporter, actress Vivian Velez made it clear that the September 21, 2025 mass movement was a unified act of the Filipino against injustice and corruption in the government.
She said that the mass actions were for all regardless of political colors like DDS, Kakampink, BBM etc.
These spectrums, of course, carried with them diverse interests and motives.
On the day of the rallies, there were Duterte loyalists who staged separate platforms to vent their ire on the current administration.
Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, a known Duterte follower got to occupy a space at EDSA People Power Monument where a motley group of Duterte Diehard Supporters (DDS) gathered. Topacio led the chanting against corruption.
Other identified DDS had also speeches condemning corruption in government.
Meanwhile, actor Phillip Salvador, a noted DDS, was seen at the common mass movement but the word “epal” was heard directed at him but he continued walking and joining the sea of protester
