The Filipino nation now stands at a crossroads.

Anger is mounting, pressure is building among various sectors.

The united call: a President whose functional capability is in question has abdicated his mandate to lead a nation.

Various sectors are now mobilizing to unite the masses towards a united call for those responsible for the massive rape of our country’s resources to step down from their posts and accept the responsibility for their misdeeds.

According to these sectors, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. should lead this initiative – not only by virtue of the principle of “command responsibility” but also due to mounting questions of his capability to serve.

The questions had been raised even before the 2022 elections, and they have been given credence by the recent “revelations” of his own sister, Senator Imee Marcos.

As of the writing, it remains to be seen whether the President will heed this call or launch an all-out effort to preserve his position, at the possible detriment of the country’s reputation or even the survival of its citizens.

These are dangerous times.

And the Filipino public can no longer stay neutral or apathetic to their country’s situation.

Now, more than ever, we must take a stand for our country, for our countrymen, and for the youth who now look to us as either the savior of their future or the ones who will drive them deeper into poverty and perdition.
