As the expiration of the “grace period” for unconsolidated traditional jeepney franchises looms on January 31, transport groups PISTON, MANIBELA and the Tanggol-Pasada Network launched Tuesday, January 16, yet another demonstration in Quezon City.
The groups urged the Supreme Court to act speedily on their request for the high court to issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
