Samar 2nd District Representative Reynolds Michael Tan addressed the concerns of unsatisfied individuals and social media trolls regarding the absence of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) filings for the upcoming May 2025 elections.
During a recent interview, Tan emphasized the importance of giving peace a chance and allowing the current administration the opportunity to govern effectively.
In response to questions about the lack of COC submissions from certain individuals, Tan humorously remarked, “I’m sorry, but there’s nothing we can do about why they didn’t file their COC,” referring to potential opponents for key positions.
He pointed out that the unopposed nature of three significant positions in the province should be viewed positively.
“We can still do more,” Tan added, highlighting the administration’s commitment to progress and development, despite the absence of competition.
Tan’s comments reflect a call for unity and a focus on collaborative efforts within the province as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
His "seemingly" light-hearted approach aims to ease tension and encourage constituents to remain hopeful about the future.
