Now is the chance to see if you are still on the active voters' list, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) advised.

In a statement, the commission reported that over 5.38 million voters have been deactivated and may be ineligible to cast their votes for the May 2025 midterm elections.

As of July 15, Comelec has also removed 686,859 individuals from the registered voters' list.

The majority of those deactivated failed to vote in two consecutive elections, while most removed from the list were either deceased or had moved away.

Since voter registration resumed in February, Comelec has processed approximately 5.35 million new applications.

Regionally, Calabarzon leads with 901,562 new applicants, followed by the National Capital Region with 712,458, and Central Luzon with 618,106.

The Cordilleras had the fewest new applications at 74,874.

Comelec Chairman George Garcia stated that the number of eligible voters for the 2025 midterms is approaching 66 million, with a target of 70 million.

Garcia urged voters to reactivate their status before the registration period closes on September 30.
