TAYSAN, Batangas — It was a harrowing encounter for a girl, 11, and a student after narrowly escaping death when a dump truck hit and dragged her.

Surveillance footage showed that the girl darted across the road in pursuit of a jeepney, oblivious to the oncoming truck from the opposite direction.


In a heart-stopping moment, the dump truck hit the girl and dragged her for over a meter before coming to a halt.


The incident left her with scratches and injuries and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention.


On follow up, it appeared that the girl was frantic to retrieve her phone that she left in the jeepney that was why she dashed back across the road.


Following the accident, both parties involved settled, marking the end of a terrifying ordeal for the young survivor.
