Residents of South 17 corner Father Martinez Streets, in Barangay Obrero, QC clear the ash left by the fire on their houses after the first alarm fire hit the area.
They offered candles for the three children who died in the blaze Thursday morning. Senior Fire Officer 3 Rolando Valena of the Quezon Fire District (QCFD), investigator on case, said the two victims who were siblings, ages 5 and 7, and their 11-year-old cousin, were trapped on the third floor of their house when the fire broke out. Valena said the victims were sleeping with their grandmother when the incident happened. But he did not say what happened to the grandmother.
