Not only do we see and witness militant multimedia artists from Luzon and Mindanao.

From the Visayan islands, there are also artist-activists especially these days of reckoning.

The Filipino people are sick and tired of corruption in every aspect of their lives especially in government that was unmasked again this time when Vico Sotto, Mayor of Pasig City and son of actress Coney Reyes and comedian Vic Sotto, spilled the beans that the interviews of the controversial Discaya couple (Pacifico, also known as Curlee and Sarah) by broadcasters Korina Sanchez and Julius Babao might have reeked with millions of peso perks or gifts common to the Discayas who were later the purveyors of truths about kickbacks in government through their contracts with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in connivance with lawmakers.

Public outrage breeds militancy in the entertainment industry.

Show people have been coming out with their two-cent worths of opinions and street parliaments.

The two mass actions staged last weekend were spearheaded by television, radio, movie, theater and multimedia practitioners.

Weeks before the launch of the Luneta rally two Sundays ago, Visayan TV, stage, social media and film director and arts manager Chris Millado massively promoted his participation and leadership of anti-corruption mass actions.

Iloilo native Audie Gemora, a famous television, film, stage and socmed star was also in the forefront of the battle against corruption in government.

Chris said in his art cards on Facebook that the solution to the problems in the anomalous transactions in government among congressmen, senators, private contractors, and the hierarchy in the DPWH is the militant participation of the masses.

"Tayo ang solusyon (We are the solution)," said Millado.

By going to the streets, exclaimed Chris, the corrupt government officials will be pushed to the wall either to resign or admit their sins and go to jail.

Meanwhile, sexy actress Vivian Velez has been very vocal about her opposition to Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s running the government.

Vivian was a fixture at the EDSA People Power Monument to decry corruption in high places.

Although known to be a DDS or Duterte Diehard Supporter, Velez calls for unity among Kakampinks, BBM cohorts and DDS, she has been singing a different tune in these activism days.

Let's see how Double V would fare in her performance as a militant leader..
